Inpatient Psychiatry Services

Welcome to Inpatient Psychiatry Services

Managing mental health disorders like anxiety or depression may interfere with your ability to live a full and happy life, as well as affecting your loved ones. Our inpatient psychiatric treatment programs at Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods offers help to those suffering from mental health and co-occurring substance abuse issues.

Our inpatient psychiatry services offer a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric illness for adults and seniors, ages 18 and up. We utilize the most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques available to help regain your health and quality of life.

Our treatment center includes 32 licensed, acute-care inpatient beds in a safe and caring environment. We strive to treat all patients with respect and dignity.

We also provide advanced treatments for psychiatric and mood disorders, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and ketamine infusions which can all be continued after the patients leave the hospital.

Inpatient psychiatry services is comprised of two separate units. We consider the patient’s treatment needs to facilitate healing in a therapeutic environment, which includes a unit specifically designed to meet the needs of patients whose behaviors are more acutely psychotic and a unit for patients experiencing symptoms related to a major depressive disorder.
